Por. Eckhardt J. M. and ppor. Sochacki B. took off from Lasham, Hampshire, with 
Mosquito Mk 1, LR 276, code SM-S for attacks on V1 sites at Freval behind the 
French coast.
The aircraft was damaged by German Flak. The crew gave by means of their radio
a message they have to ditch on the sea. 

An aircraft of the Air Sea Rescue couldn't find them.

The body of por. Eckhardt J.M. is never found.

The body of ppor. Sochacki Bolesław washed ashore on 14.6.1944 near 
Bergen aan Zee, the Netherlands.
