MAJCHERCZYK Antoni Robert kpt. pil. inż. - S/Ldr. P 1801 6.5.1913 Dąbrowa, Górnicza R.A.F. Polish AAEE = Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment 2.7.1946, Porton, Salesbury, U.K. Durrington Cemetery, U.K. Grave 828 Kpt. pil. inż. Majcherczyk Anthony Robert was after arriving in England assigned to 301 Polish Sqdn. On 22.7.1942 he survived during the crash of Wellington nr Z1472, GR-H shot down by a german night fighter. Then he was directed the 23th group FTC RAF at Farnborough Airport. On 2.7.1946 he tried to fly a jet plane "Gloster Meteror III" nr. EE 312. The aircraft came in a corkscrew and crashed in Porton, Salisbury. Pilot was killed. He was decorated with the Cross of Valour and the British Distinguished Flying Cross.
