Kpr. Król Tadeusz was based at Walney.  His plane (Boulton Paul Defiant I, N1811) 
crashed somewhere between Ocean Road  & Biggar Village on Walney Island.  
He crashed after hitting telegraph wires & hedge during air gunnery exercise.
Sgt Charles Lambert (RAF) was killed as well.
